WHAT ALL THIS IS ABOUT...
Oh, Hi You There!
Welcome to my bookish place. My name is Ágnes, I’m an ESL teacher and book critic.
This is me in Florence.:

I studied art criticism at university (something called Aesthetics), fell in love with teaching English, and have been trying to juggle both. This blog is a love child of mine, for that reason, you will not find perfection here (or in me for that matter), nothing too complicated, nothing too tidy. I do, however, write for magazines too, so if you want to read my more serious, formal, published articles, check out some of my writings here:

And about ESL: If you are a non-native English speaker and fear it like the plague, I want to work with you. No one is incapable of learning to speak, write, or understand English; you just need the right teacher and take your own pace. Of course, no one is the perfect teacher for everyone — but I know I’m the right teacher for some.
If you hate creativity (yes, those people exist as well, I’ve met them and was resented by them :D), I am NOT the right person for you. But I truly care about working with people with a whole, flawed heart.
I am CELTA-qualified, have teaching experience both with teens and adults in Hungary and Ireland. I also prepare for language exams - in case that’s what you need and fear.
If you want to ask me about anything mentioned above - be it English lessons or writing - you can contact me here:
Otherwise, I hope this little space will bring you some joy.
Marci, my doggo, says hi.
